Accessing Emakin¶
This page explains how to access Emakin, sign in, and sign out securely.
Registration¶
Your organisation creates or activates your Emakin account before you can sign in. In some environments this happens automatically. In others, you receive an invitation email with a link to complete registration and set your password.
Result: Your account is ready for use and you can sign in to the system.
- Open the Emakin web address provided by your organisation.
- On the login page, enter your username or email address and your password.
- Select Log In.
- If prompted, complete the two-step verification described below to finish signing in.

Depending on your organisation's configuration, you may also be able to sign in with an external identity provider such as:
- Microsoft 365
If multiple languages are available, you can choose the login page language before signing in.
Note: The sign-in options you see depend on your organisation's authentication settings.
Two-Step Verification¶
Your organisation chooses whether a sign-in option requires an additional verification step and which method it uses. You need access to your profile mobile number, profile email address, or configured authenticator app, depending on that method. Passkey sign-in does not ask for an additional second factor.
SMS or Email¶
- Check the masked phone number or email address displayed on the verification screen.
- Read the six-digit code sent by SMS or email. If SMS is selected and no mobile number is saved, enter your number when prompted and verify it to complete setup.
- Enter the code and select Verify Code to finish signing in.
If a message does not arrive, check your SMS inbox or email spam folder. Use Resend Code when available and enter the latest code. If asked to wait before requesting another code, wait before retrying. Contact your administrator if the destination is incorrect or no email address is configured.
Authenticator App¶
On first use, complete setup before signing in:
- Open an authenticator app that generates time-based verification codes.
- Scan the QR code displayed by Emakin. Alternatively, expand Or enter this key manually: and enter the setup key in the app.
- Enter the app's current six-digit code in Emakin and select Verify Code. This completes setup and sign-in.
On subsequent sign-ins, open the existing Emakin entry in your app and enter its current code. No SMS or email is sent. If your organisation switches to SMS and later returns to the authenticator method, your completed setup is preserved; use the same app entry unless your administrator has reset it.
Verification Problems¶
- Expired verification: start the sign-in again to get a new verification request.
- Incorrect code: check that you entered the latest SMS or email code, or the current authenticator code. For an authenticator app, check that your device's date and time are correct.
- Temporarily blocked verification: wait for the temporary block to end before trying again.
- Lost access to the phone, email address, or authenticator app: contact your administrator for help restoring access.
Select Cancel to leave verification and return to sign-in.
Changing the organisation's verification method does not sign you out of an existing authenticated session. The new method applies the next time you sign in.
Sign Out¶
Use the logout option when you finish working in Emakin, especially on a shared or public computer. Signing out ends your web session, removes session information from the browser, and returns you to the login page.
