Process Access Control List (ACL)

By default, access to modify process version codes is restricted to system administrators. To grant or extend this access to other users, you can modify the Process Access Control List (ACL).

Security Profiles

Security profiles are defined under System Administration → Edit Domain → Security Profiles. These pre-configured profiles, which are listed in this section, may include users, positions, departments, and/or user groups, each with associated access types.

Additional Permissions

Situations may arise where specific individuals not included in the selected security profile require access to a process. To accommodate such cases, the system provides an additional permissions function. Users can set additional permissions, which may supplement or replace the selected security profile.

Identity

Specify the user, position, department, or user group that requires authorization.

Permissions

Select the desired permission type to grant to the specified Identity:

  • Read: Users with "Read" permission can view the starting points of processes in "Active Mode" and access associated reports.
  • All: Users with "All" permission are considered Process Administrators. They can access and use administrative functions and can view starting points of processes in test mode.

Type

Define whether the selected Identity should or should not have the specified permission:

  • Allow: Grants the specified Identity "All" or "Read" permission.
  • Deny: Restricts the selected Identity from accessing the process.

Begins At

Specify the date when the permission should become effective.

Expires At

Specify the date when the permission should expire.
